#8. Noah Breslow

Since 2012, Noah Breslow has been the chairman and chief executive officer of On Deck Capital, Inc., one of the leading small business lenders. Forbes ranked OnDeck as No. 11 on its list of the 100 Most Promising American Companies. Breslow also chairs OnDeck’s risk management committee. Previously, he had served as its chief product officer and senior vice president of products and technology. Breslow has an impressive background. He earned an M.B.A. with Distinction from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in computer science and engineering from MIT, and he holds a U.S. patent in the area of network protocol optimization. Based in New York, he has extensive experience in marketing, operations and engineering in emerging technology companies. Before joining OnDeck in 2007, Breslow was the vice president of marketing and product management of Tacit Networks, Inc. At Kirusa, a startup supplier of software infrastructure to mobile operators, Breslow worked in business development and finance. Serving at Kokua Communications as vice president of engineering, he led a team of engineers to design and deploy broadband Internet services across western Europe by relying on an advanced geostationary satellite system. But he keeps his feet on the ground. Asked what his favorite Main Street business is, Breslow says, “The family owned hardware store around the corner.
